Dausgaard to Scotland
The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra has announced that Thomas Dausgaard will be its next chief conductor. He will start at the beginning of the 2016 / 17 season.

ENO New Season full of promise
English National Opera has announced a new season which will include six new productions and five revivals, more than many other major international houses will offer, including Vienna! Not only that, but in a bold move, ticket prices have been dropped, with 500 tickets for each performance priced below £20.

Sir Andrew Davies, Conductor Emeritus
Sir Andrew Davis has been appointed Conductor Emeritus of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. He follows great conductors such as Vernon Handley and Sir Charles Mackerras. The aim of the appointment is to recognise the most important musicians of our day, who have had a long-standing association with the Orchestra.

Brian Couzens
Chandos Records are saddened to announce the death of its founder Brian Couzens. He passed away peacefully on the morning of 17th April 2015 following a short illness. He was 82.
